Learn advanced inking techniques that are SO simple to create stunning layouts.
This is a hand-on workshop that will begin by using very neutral or white backgrounds and the color choices will be up to you. I will show
you easy and unique blending techniques to make one of a kind backgound paper and photo tinting, and then we will add in some
watercolor effect stamping (using the NEW Rhonna Farrer acrylic flourish stamps in 3 different sets) plus customize Prima flowers, learn
embossed resist techniques and a gorgeous effect using Heidi Swapp masks!!
The pages of this little book measure about 5 1/2" x 8", we will use a simple binding technique and it will be displayed on an adorable
clipboard that fits it perfectly (and can always be altered later, for those of you in to the "altered clipboard" thing!!)
These are all techniques that I have not taught in previous classes and I am eager to share them with you!!
**Please bring at least 6-8 black and white photos (but please no old originals as you will learning a technique with them.) Keep in mind,
any digital color photos can easily be changed to black & white on Snapfish.com or similar companies if you don't print them at home.
This double canvas project is perfect to feature you and the one you love on your wall. You will learn some basic concepts of scrapping
on canvas and use different mediums such as modge podge, inks, paint, embossing powders, etc. If you haven't tried scrapping on the
wall yet, watch out, it's addicting! The project will read "Live, Love, Laugh" so it could also be appropriate for family and the paper would
also work beautifully for heritage photos (although if you plan to use heritage pictures please use copies and not the originals)

Are you always the one missing from your scrapbook pages? How about a mini book of YOU in a unique altered box? Yes, altering the box
will be fun and look very cool when you're done, BUT this class is really about the JOURNALING! Have you scrapped the pictures from your
childhood? Do you always scrap about your kids? Why not give them the gift of YOU and tell them YOUR story? We will get down to
journaling basics and ways to think about the details...after all, one of the best reasons to scrap to preserve YOUR memories. The theme
can be completely what you want it to be...mine will be "My Journey...before I was your Mom"
Have you been to the beach this Summer? Do you have beach pictures from your childhood that you'd love to do something special with?
This book is IT! We will be creating a 6x12 canvas gate book that has lots of interest, texture and of course techniques to be learned. You
will learn about and use modeling paste, the brand new alcohol ink colors, acrylic paint, UTEE and create a very unique (3-dimensional)
layout incorporating Scenic Route paper on the inside.
It's a great way to preserve and display your memories. This is NOT your ordinary mini-book...you have to see it in person to fully
appreciate it!!!
I will teach you to use acrylic paint in ways you may not have thought of to use in your layouts as well as the basics you have seen in the
magazines. This is a really FUN class!!
Techniques will include the correct way to use different kinds of crackle and how to get the look you want, drybrushing, using texture, color
washing, drybrushing, stippling and much more! You will leave this class with a 10 tag project including step by step instructions as well as
samples for each technique to use as a reference to use these techniques over and over again in future layouts.
In this great workshop you will experiment with photo collage while making a unique and FUN circular mini-book. This book is great for
themes you may have a lot of pictures of like a birthday or just plain fun shots that were the "leftovers" that didn't make it in to the 12x12
pages! Great for the photos that were off centered, too small, etc. We are going to crop them and mold them to fit the book as well as using
them to add dimension. We will be using Basic Grey Lollipop papers and have a lot of goodies and techniques to play with. Please bring 10
or more pictures to work with, scissors and a strong adhesive (I use the Sailor Glue Markers and find them to work best - tabs or tape
runners are not the best choice for this type of album
OK, by popular demand I am repeating this one, but exclusively for Outside the Lines!! This family themed wall hanging features 4 attached
8x8 canvases decorated with Ranger color washes (which I will teach you to use and you will practice until you feel comfortable to do it on
the canvas) as well as Bazzill chips, 7Gypsies (or your choice) of gorgeous papers to match your decor or imagination. Additional canvases
will be available if you'd like to alter the size to fit your family! You MUST stop by and see the sample to appreciate the gorgeous Ranger
color washes we will be using for this project. TONS of techniques to learn and play with. Colors are alterable to fit your decor and all you
need to bring is pictures. This one will really get your creativity flowing! I can't WAIT to do this one again!! The sample is in the store now
Using 2 different size pre-stretched canvas and gorgeous patterned papers from 7Gypsies and Scenic Route and lots of other goodies, I
will walk you through the process of creating a unique 3-dimensional scrapping experience that you'll treasure so much you'll want to hang
it on the wall...and of course, you should - it's CANVAS!! The possibilities are endless and will be wonderful to hang in your home or a
perfect gift! The titles will be stamped so it is completely alterable to meet your theme of choice - Hurry though - this class has
limited space!!
Using a Little Davis Matchbook, some Fall themed fringed FABRIC over the cover (fabric may vary slightly depending on availability),
various mica, copper embellishments, Scenic Route paper, beads, Batik ribbon and some VERY cool and unique ALTERED pages
(believe me, there is NO page left as is or flat!) I will walk you through the alteration and creation of this awesome little book step by step!
You have to see the sample and flip through each page to get the full WOW effect!!
(For those of you who took my Altered Heritage Matchbook, this is similar yet a completely unique design and you will love it!)
Do you love Tim Holtz's techniques like I do? I received his permission to do this class based on one of his great projects and i will show you
how to make a mini tag book using Tim's Distress Ink Techniques. You will learn what else these great inks can do besides inking the
edges! We will also incorporate some collage with a theme of "the Little Joys of my life" (or whatever YOU want it to be). This is going to be
a REALLY fun class : )
Using Ranger Color washes, I will guide you through the process of creating the most beautiful and colorful tags you have ever seen! Color
choice is yours or use them all! You will create a cool accordion chipboard album (measuring approximately 6"x9")using the tags you create
in class. You can list and scrap on each one what you are thankful for (in keeping with the season) or make the theme anything you
want...as always I encourage you to use your creativity.
